BIG PICTURE READING ASSIGNMENTS:

1) Read the letter of First John in one sitting, journaling everything you can find about the recipients

2) Read the letter, again in one sitting, journaling everything you can find about the author

3) Reread the letter in one sitting, this time looking for the occasion of the letter

4) As you read the entire letter again, discover who God is in the text.  What names and attributes of God are in this letter?  How does God reveal Himself in this letter?  What does He want us to learn about Him?
